GLOBALIZATION DESTROYED LINK BETWEEN PRODUCTIVITY AND WAGE GAINS

Fairness was killed by Reagan and the "free trade" corporatists: it was a successful plot to pit workers of the world (1st against 3rd and "emergers") to drive down overall wages and benefits. This chart shows what I was railing about back in 1995 - hard work no longer means fair rewards, especially in America. I got Harold Ickes and John Sweeney of AFL-CIO and others interested in my WORK=FAIR campaign to tie wage gains to productivity gains and to mandate a Basic Benefits Package (including paid vacation and full free healthcare), but never got traction for the campaign.
