ATTEMPTING TO UTTERLY DESTROY THE U.S. CONSTITUTION

"War-on-terror" advocates (the usual suspects: israel, Likkudniks, defense-contractors, etc.) are attempting to use terrorism fears to tear to  shreds the U.S. Constitution by completing the job they started with the Patriot Act and other anti-Constitutional laws passed after 9/11 that infringe upon citizens' liberties. Led primarily by Republicans in the U.S. Senate, sections of the new defense bill would allow U.S. territory to be declared into a war zone and subject all U.S. citizens to military detainment (indefinite), suspension of their Habeas Corpus rights. Bin Laden is dead, Al Queda is almost gone, the needless Iraq and Afghanistan wars are winding down, and there is no credible threat of major terrorist action presently and much of the motivation for it is ebbing - democracy has swept through Muslim nations and Islamist political groups have had to run in elections distancing themselves image-wise from their radicalism to gain public support. Fear is the coin-of-the-realm for the War Party and it's all about using the United States to make israel the regional superpower in the Middle East. Only 2 Republican Senators voted against this attempt to destroy America, one of whom is this fellow. Supposedly Obama will veto the final bill if the provisions make it through.
